A child is born in Betlehem
to benefit Jerusalem.
Now peace have dawned upon our earth
in east and west and south and north.

Now peace has come to every mind,
light from the stables to the blind.
They saw the baby born in grace
in Paradise but out of place.

So grace shall come to every kind,
who gives the baby hope to find.
Himself to babes from above
has come today with faith and love.

So now we see you all in one,
and all the mystery has gone.
The wings of heaven do undfold
and soar up to the light of gold.

Now peace has set upon our earth
